It is with saddness in our hearts that we have to announce the passing of Mark Burkey, a loving son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his mother, Carol Burkey and his two sisters, Allyson Gluska and Melissa Jenkins and their families. A service will be held at Highland Chapel Methodist Church on Lake Isabella Blvd at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the VFW in Lake Isabella at 1:00 p.m. Mark loved living in the Kern River Valley. May he rest in peace here forever.

Bill passed away peacefully on April 24, 2012, at age 89. Born in Taft to William D. and Nesta Carillo Turner, he grew up in Southern California and Bakersfield, graduated from Kern County Union High School, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a radioman and aviator (Ensign) and then for 27 years with the Kern County Fire Department (Captain).
Dale Owen Charter

Dale Owen Charter was a Firefighter for the City of Rialto for a little more than 31 years. His career began on May 18, 1970 and he retired December 30, 2001. Dale passed away on April 21, 2012. He was in the first Paramedic graduating class for Firefighters where he attended Loma Linda University and was a medic for almost a third of his career.

She was born June 6th, 1929 in Clearwater, California. She is also survived by her brother, James Mullen, and sister, Zonda Bailey.
